Exeter’s national COVID-19 vaccination centre relocating to Greendale
We are delighted to confirm the announcement from the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (RD&E) that its COVID-19 vaccination centre will be relocating from Westpoint to two sites at Greendale at the beginning of May 2021.
A section of Greendale Business Park is now being developed as a new NHS vaccination centre, and an area close to Greendale Farm Shop will become one of the first drive-through vaccination centres in the country. As a business, we will remain open as normal while the vaccination centre is here, and the sites have been designed to ensure as little disruption as possible to existing businesses and customers in the coming months.
Once established, signage and marshals will be in place across both sites to guide patients into the new venues, which will be accessed via the main Business Park entrance.
Exact dates for the relocation will be confirmed by the RD&E/NHS shortly; we understand that, despite the change in location, dates and times for all appointments will remain the same.
Being part of the national effort to bring COVID-19 under control is fantastic, and we will continue to work very closely with the RD&E to ensure that the Greendale sites operate smoothly and efficiently once established.
Alongside our huge thanks to the RD&E and the NHS for their incredible efforts over the past year, we would also like to thank East Devon District Council for their helpful advice and guidance thus far.
